I think the elderly couple were still there at the scene at 9.50am when I passed, as were the first 2 police cars. I guess the police were too busy doing their job at the time to get their details. It would be very surprising if none of the audax riders actually saw the crash, given it was a pretty straight road with a good view ahead there. Could it be worth giving the police a list of rider's contact details so they can check? Not everyone reads this.

Good thinking Feline: I can see a 'close' of 1015 Uffington arrival and then a 30min gap before next arrivals.  Lot of 1000 arrivals, so they were ahead of you and more likely to have something they might have seen that could be useful.  Quite a list but worth providing.  Later when I come in from the Garden.

Unfortunately our cards were not timed at the controls, so I don't know what time I got to Uffington.  There was a group of about a dozen arrived a few minutes before me, and I arrived with Hot Flatus and John.  I'm usually pretty observant but saw absolutely nothing of an accident or its aftermath - I was totally unaware of the accident until the arrivee.  So that might limit the list of possibles a little.  Not that I mind being contacted; just have nothing to say that would be helpful.

I couldn't have been more than 5 mins after the accident, 3 guys from Evesham wheelers were a few minutes ahead of me, does that help narrow it down?

Technically, I'm still a fugitive from justice so I'd be grateful if you didn't send them my details.
You're only as successful as your last 1200...
