Baby degu cuteness

Our degus (Jack and Daniel) recently had babies, the reason why they are called boys names is because we were told they were boys when we got them, and having read about them its really difficult to work out if they are boys or girls. We know now:-

The parents

Babies - 3 days old yesterday.

Sweeeet! I had never heard of degus until I took minimac to the nice pet shop recently (free zoo and aquarium, innit) and I thought they were giant gerbil mutants until I read the label.
What are they like as pets?

They are really good as pets, more fascinating to watch than the cuddling variety - we have stroked them when they come up to great us at the cage.  They are very industrious creatures and have there own language of squeaks and sounds - I swear they great us with degu for hello when we go near their cage - they certainly watch what we are doing too  ;D
