Anyone else get Cycle Clips?
Yesterday's edition celebrated VE Day with an article about the bicycle in wartime headed by German troops riding and wheeling 'their' bicycles as they retreated from Holland.
Why?
Am I missing a message here?

I receive it but rarely find anything relevant or worth reading in it these days.

Seems to be mainly a way of asking members for more money.

I can’t remember the details but iirc there’s some Dutch wartime gag about “Wolfgang where’s your bicycle?” - something to do with Germans nicking theirs.

I’m sure someone else will know the rest.

Well there's your answer.  Whoever chose the image was as ignorant as I am, and just thought it was a representation of cyclists in war (without the usual British bias).

I’ve not seen the Cycle Clips thing but I’m guessing that’s the reference.

(Obviously I didn’t quite remember it correctly - maybe the line was “Wolfgang where *my* bicycle?”)
