Hardknott Pass; warmish and sunny and dry enough to forego the heavy boots

I was inspired to post my video of a walk from Three Shires Stone at the top of Wrynose Pass, which we did in October last year, in exceptional weather, it's a couple of minutes long.

I must have a picture of that (first) stone somewhere... with my Dahon next to it. It is a lovely place. A nice video too!

PS I was unaware about the Halifax crash. I was impressed by the number of RAF training flights we saw though; some, above the Langdale area, made low passes.

Not really a hill walk, but the path along the Berck from Great Langdale.

Gabrielle was determined to walk some of it... (this is leading to the Langdale caravan site, hence the track for a while)

and, later, to investigate nature.

On the way back to pick mum up at the country club. It was a lovely loop in the shade during what was a very warm afternoon.
