Young Street over Wishkah River, Aberdeen WA by Mr Larrington, on Flickr.  Kurt Cobain claims to have slept under this bridge but Krist Novoselic says that's bollocks because the tide would have washed him away.
Any idea what those wooden stakes in the water are? Remains of an earlier bridge? Remains of a landing stage or jetty? Eel traps?

Also – Humptulips River! Arf!

I call bollocks on the bollocks, because if the tide rose that high, the house to the right of the bridge would have been flooded. Also, the high tide line is clearly visible.

 Interesting history.

As seen in the Aberdeen Press and Journal - Tuesday 03 March 1936, with a touch of Hovis about it.
