I bought another tandem!

This morning.  Tis lovely.  We decided we needed a faster tandem as the other two are a bit slow.  Yes I know a bike is as fast as the riders but the Tandem trike is hard work on a long ride.  The Twosday feels too twitchy to go fast on.

So we got this.  The name is spelt wrong in the advert BTW it's Lee Cooper.

Lee Cooper is/was an excellent builder, based in Coventry.

I have heard rumours that the top end Thorns were usually built there, and the business was severely affected once Thorn started sourcing in the Far East.

It will be a really good tandem - enjoy!

Nice.  Looks very similar to Tina the Tandem (an Orbit Routier).  Have fun.

 The chap I bought the tandem from, told me that Alan, (at Lee Cooper) is still building the top end frames for Thorn, and also builds for Orbit; so that may be why it looks like Tina the tandem Oscar's Dad.  It is fillet brazed.  Apparently George Longstaff also rated Lee Cooper frames quite highly.

It's lovely to ride and feels quite short which is nice.

It's a loverly looking bike!

I'd rate it as an excellent impulse buy. I hope you get many many many happy miles out of it! (And we will join you for some of them!)
