It's being sent with tiagra front brake and a diacomp lever. I will fit it before I go out.

This did upset me but beggars can't be choosers. I'll get some plastic clip on bottle mounts and if they don't work I'll add a seat one. This would only happen if I ended up riding the thing. I live in Cornwall and the hills are quite steep.

I don't know which part of Cornwall you inhabit, but my experience is of valleys rather than hills. A steep descent followed by a steep climb is fun if you're used to riding a fixed wheel.

Repeat several times and it becomes a challenge.

After a few/several I concluded that 50 Cornish miles were roughly equivalent to 100 Warwickshire miles. I opted for a 60" gear; ymmv.
