Cancellara is looking bloody good for this one, absolutely roaring along.

Gold for Fabian!

A great ride by Steve Cummings to finish 10th - look at the company he's in.

11th methinks?

And yes, a great ride. Cummings is one of the underrated British riders.

Steady rides by the Aussie pair, no medals but at least they beat the Pom  ;)

Just out of interest, was Dave Millar not in it, and if not then why not?  I know that he hasn't had quite the same results sucess as before his ban but he is still pretty good isn't he?  Or does the ban mean that he is permenently excluded from the limpics?

Not sure if it's permanent, but yes, as far as I understand it he's basically banned from these games.

Isn't it the same thing as Dwain Chambers.

A British Olympic Association (BOA) bylaw bans any convicted dopers from being entered as part of Team GB.

The difference is that Millar is not contesting it as he can still take part in TdF/Giro/Vuelta and any other road races.

Ah, I see thanks. I wasn't sure whether Chambers was being stopped by the Brit athletics or the Brit olympics people!

Gold for Fabian!

He's clearly in stunning form. The highlight of the games so far was Cancellara crossing that gap like a train in the RR with 5 miles to go - for a second I thought he might go straight past the other 2!

Meanwhile the rest of the pack had given up on a medal - he decided to go out and give it everything.

Good for him.

The course wouldn't have suited Millar either; it was far too hilly.

CSC have an external company to test their riders.
