1" 1/8" Straight fork steerer fitted to tapered headset .
« on: 29 January, 2022, 01:44:21 pm »
Has any one fitted an 1"-1/8" straight fork steerer .  To a tapered frame which takes an  1"-1/2"  to 1"-1/8"  tapered steerer .
Any problems . Do I just needed an 1-1/8"  to 1-1/2" tapered steer tube conversion ring adapter thingy , Off ebay  via China.
Or is  a FSA orbit tapered head set conversion kit a better bet .     Thanks Colin

Hope make an extensive range, doesn't guarantee that anyone has stuff in stock. Their dimensional info is a pretty good guide to the standards though:

I did it with a chinesium adapter, though IIRC it took a couple of tries with different models before I achieved success.  It wasn't pretty but it worked well.
