Recovery after a long ride
« on: 07 May, 2013, 04:38:17 pm »
I went out for a long ride yesterday and managed 150+ miles. At the end I felt surprisingly good and my legs felt like I had another 40-50 miles left in them. My wife wants to go for a pootle tonight, nothing fast or far but my legs feel tired. What would be more beneficial, rest up and do nothing (I stand all day as part of my job) or go out and do a recovery ride, the longest I've done in the past is a 200km audax but didn't have the oportunity to cycle the next day
Thanks

Do a recovery ride and end the evening in the restaurant of your choice for some romantic refuelling.

Ended up not doing a ride at all, but I did cook a nice romantic meal to make up for the fact that I was out all day monday
