Wanted: A copy of Linda McCartney's veg cooking
« on: 19 June, 2010, 10:58:54 am »
Or rather just the recipe for BBQ sauce out of the same.

I used to have this book way back when, the BBQ sauce is fantastic, and due to Costco no longer stocking Cattlemen's BBQ sauce I thought I would make my own.

Can any one help, either with the recipe, with a copy of the book they could let me have or the whereabouts of a UK stockist of Cattlemens?

TIA

12oz/350g tomato ketchup
juice of 1 lemon
1/4 pint/150ml red or white wine vinegar
6 cloves of garlic, crushed
2 heaped tbs soft brown sugar
2 tbs olive oil
2 tbs mild mustard
2 tbs sweet cucumber relish

Put the ketchup and lemon juice into a bowl. Measure the vinegar and pour it into the ketchup bottle; shake well so that you clean the bottle, and add the liquid to the bowl. Mix thoroughly, then stir in the rest of the ingredients and it is ready to use. Keep refrigerated in an airtight jar.
