I was in my LBS this morning, getting ready for a bit of fettling.  I hadn't been in for several weeks, and Chris, the owner, greeted me warmly.  He asked how I was, and what I'd been up to.  I told him I hadn't been out much, but then remembered I'd been on the FNRTTC.

I explained how I met up with a load of people I didn't know at HPC, cycled through that London, crossed at Dartford and on to Sarfend for an FEB.

He said that sounded like what one of his other customers would do. "Tony $REALNAME".  He then went onto describe a gentlemen of statuesque proportions with a large black beard.  "Hah!" I said, "That sounds like TT, a member of the same group of nutters."

A few more details clinched it, and then I went about my fettling.
There are two ways you can get exercise out of a bicycle: you can
"overhaul" it, or you can ride it.  (Jerome K Jerome)
