Having hopefully identified my chain tension problems (chain is badly worn after 300 ml) . I know need sage advice on the best chain I should use, needs to be 1/8 chainring and sprocket are all 1/8!

Best buy a dozen at that price. I tend to use SRAM PC1. PC1n if I'm feeling bling. They usually come in around £7-9
Actually Chain Reaction (sic) are doing PC1n for 5.49... I'd buy some but Ive got a couple of chains stashed away already...

The gold coloured KMC is often cheapest and looks a bit bling.
