which free audio conference service?
« on: 12 June, 2018, 02:45:41 pm »
I run a small business (me) and sometimes need to organise a conference call between me, my client and their client's people.  I've been using Unitedconferencing.com for free teleconfs but their site is borked (still trying to use reCAPTCHA v1).  I have Webex but that only offers free audioconferencing for 3 participants.

I'll be dialling in from an iphone so need something that works mobile okay.

Any suggestions for free services that work ok in the UK without surcharges etc on dial in numbers and can accommodate up to 5 or 6 people.  I don't need to do this often so I'd rather avoid shelling out £12 a month for Webex or Gotomeeting services.

Anyone used Google Hangouts? Is that suitable?

TIA

Hangouts or Skype is fine, we use both at our workplace.

Hangouts or Skype or powownow if these aren't workable.

We stopped using Skype for business (too many issues) and now use Zoom

Joinme and zoom are two I have used. Not sure of limitations and cost, as I have only used them on the free option and 2-3 participants.

I've used https://whypay.net a few times - decent enough quality, and the option to record and download it.

I was Zoom at work and it's really good. Work for a big company so we've got the full Enterprise version but I think it's possible to get free accounts.
