Any jewellery experts here?

My daughter is thinking of selling an engagement type ring, it has a sapphire surrounded by diamonds. Insurance valuation certificate I got for her gives a value of £1750. What would this really be worth say in an online auction?

Take it to a jeweller and ask - they won't buy it though. I think you might be disappointed. Maybe 20%  of the valuation if you're lucky.

No idea really but given this is a Lady Di lookalike from your description, I might look at some sentimental Royal aficionado websites...
