Paralympic cycling - may contain spoilers
« on: 07 September, 2008, 02:13:42 pm »
Did anyone else see it this morning?  I have to admit that I really like the paralympics, sometimes more than the olympics (whellchair basketball is more interesting than regular basketball IMO).  Darren Kenny was amazing in the 3 km pursuit this morning to bring GB cycling up to 3 golds on the first day (also McGlynn & Hunter in women's 1 km tandem and Simon Richardson in 1 km TT).  World records for all 3 events, Kenny had a catch within the first km in the final.  It was all very exciting.  :)

Woohoo!
It takes blood and guts to be this cool but I'm still just a cliché.

The Things get very excited whenever a tandem appears in the velodrome. Track racing is great, tandems are great, putting them both together leads to great excitement. Tandems should get to race more often.

It's on the BBC website live via the sports pages.   Also, the 1 hour highlights programme that BBC2 do 7-8pm is on the iPlayer if you miss it.  On the sports pages there are usually liittle video clips accompanying the stories where GB athletes won something.
