The route was announced earlier today:
https://letour.yorkshire.com/the-latest/routes-for-2020-tour-de-yorkshire-announced/
On the 2nd May, both the Men's and Women's races will be coming through the Colne Valley and nearly to the front door of the Vicarage in Slaithwaite before climbing the Côte de Scapegoat hill. Anyone who fancies joining me to watch the races world be most welcome. Slaithwaite has a bundle of pubs and cafes, and a railway station for easy access.

That's interesting. That coincides with the end of our narrowboat trip (1/5/20) in Sowerby Bridge. I see the race is going through there the following day. We could try and stay an extra night or two and watch it.

It would appear that there won’t be any further Tours de Yorkshire sadly.

Gary Verity was the force behind the Yorkshire elite cycling boom AIUI, so with him gone it's probably a sad goodbye to all that - it looks like the 2019 worlds were its swansong.
Yorkshire 2014-19, I was there
