Those Wind Blox thingies work not as well as I had hoped they would. You may consider ear protection used by motorcycle drivers, these have filters that filter out the wind noise frequencies while still allowing (some of) the other frequencies to pass.
Me, I'm wearing (custom) in-ear headphones and using mirrors. Add a Garmin radar if you need more distraction
