Firefox update today . . . slow to shut down?
« on: 08 April, 2022, 05:14:19 pm »
Firefox upgrade to Ver 99.0 (64-bit) Win 10 today - now seems to be slow to shut down . . .  in the past I could close a window (X in TRHC) and immediately click another FF URL shortcut icon on my desktop and the new window would open.   It now seems to have a delay as if I click the new icon straight away I get a "Firefox is still running and must be closed" pop-up - there seems to be a deay of at least 10 seconds from clicking the X to being able to open another window.

Am I alone with this issue?

BTW - please don't suggest that I use Chrome - or any other browser ! . . . .  :hand:

Same Firefox update on Ubuntu Linux today. No issues though I can close and start it immediately. Must be a Windows specific issue.
I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that.

Try running Firefox in safe mode. Or create a new profile.

Could be any addons you are using. Safe mode should disable all of them.
