If a013 is Matt Page, he's so new to cycling that he was first back on LEL - by a long way, I think!

he was. he rated the LEL food highly as well but PBP is not LEL. Good job he didnt do APN where you are on your own. meh, perhaps the idea of PBP was better than the reality. he tried and failed. More than I would have done as I couldnt and wouldnt. I read the report of the guy who came 1st and his family were there restocking supplies etc. can see that would be a bonus if you roll in, get brevet stamped and out again with a bag full of supplies ready to go

That is excellent (slightly worried for him talking to camera on a fast descent post event around 21.20 though!)

Gawd, Matt was v whiney in his vid. Toys out the pram, cos he couldn't win?

Jason's was much better (except his favourite hat (??) really drew my eye away from the action).

I enjoyed that very much, though I have to say, as someone who has volunteered 3 times on LEL, we have a good time, too, and it is also a pleasure, even welcoming riders moaning about the fact that the hills have upness in them.  They are obviously both excellent events.
