That was a close finish.. I'd not like to be the finish line judge on that one..

If you haven't seen it, get the replays from http://asia.eurosport.com/cycling/renshaw-edges-goss_sto3247603/story.shtml - less than the width of a tyre.

Can't see anything between them.
Riding a concrete path through the nebulous and chaotic future.

3/1000 of a second - apparently one of the closest margins ever.

I wonder what that equates to in distance?! Less than a millimetre I guess...
Those wonderful norks are never far from my thoughts, oh yeah!

If they were doing 30mph that's approximately 13 m/s so 39mm. I haven't see the but it sounds as if they were closer than that ???

Or my maths is wrong...

About half a tyre width.

I think your maths is right, but I guess they'd be doing more like 40 mph or ~65 km/h / ~18m/s which gives a distance of 54mm. That can't be right? You'd see that? Unless the .003 of a second is wrong....

It is wrong, it was 0.0003 secs, or about 5mm.

About the same as separated Turgot and Ballan for 2nd at Roubaix then.

At the U23 Worlds in 2010, they couldn't separate Boivin and Phinney for 3rd and gave them both bronze, though close inspection of this photo leads me to believe Boivin was 3rd by 1mm.

Andre Greipel is impressing me.   Since leaving Cav's team not only has he shown himself to be a far better sprinter than Cav ever gave him credit for but also a real team player.  Several times this week we've seen him setting things up for team mates or fetching bottles, and yesterday he went so far as to stop and go back to check on Adam Hansen after his crash.

Yes, that was unbelieveable. Carlton Kirby sounded like he was wetting himself. I heard it's already on youtube, so search it out - it's worth it.
