Yeah, I've had a book about beer published - with my actual real name on the cover and everyfink.

Hardly what you'd call "literature", though - it was a shitty commissioned hack job for which I got a flat fee* and lots of grief, and had very little control over the content.

*ie no "royalties", which is a real shame considering it's been sold all over the world and has probably made the publisher loads of money.  :-\

Talking of beer, there is a beer with my full name literally written all over it. Well, on the pump at least. I've never sampled it as it's mostly only available in the west country, but you can bet your bollocks to a barn dance that it will be good  :)

Well of course, my namesake used to be Culture Secretary, so was basically in charge of literature, so nyaaah.

However, he did (does) bat for the other team, so that's where the parallels end really.
