Garmin Etrex 20 (presume also 30) OS update

Have had a new refurbished E20 sent back to me by Garmin after a mishap.

I had expected them to install the latest version of the OS software.

It's 4.2.

But on connecting it to my laptop via basecamp I see that I am invited to update to a higher number - I forget which one.

Should I go for it?

I always kept my old unit on a pretty old version of the OP after some nervous updates in the past.

Just checked, I'm running V4.30 which is fine.

Thanks, just updated it today (you can tell i'm cautious    - all went well. I must say the 4.2 was a big improvement on the old version i had before - everything loaded faster and generally smoother, whereas i have always expected updates of computer stuff to just add more bloat and add as many problems as they solve. Maybe i should be more trusting
