Bridge 126, and Bill heads out on the A6 via Barker's Bridge to amass a total of three and a half furlongs for the day

Obviously, it's tricky to break into a Plumtree run and not feel like you've ruined something special, but I can't believe this bridge hasn't featured yet (recently).

About time an'all!  By way of a contrast, 125 is the magnificently-named Bolton Cinder Ovens Bridge

Blimey!  You don't get that sort of thing on the Lancaster canal...

Instead, you get a sweet little come-hither thing like 124, Chorley's Bridge

124 by billplumtree, on Flickr

which beckons you onwards

124 by billplumtree, on Flickr

and then at the last minute

shuts up shop

May not count?  It's a lot bridgier than some of the scraggy planks across puddles that I've posted!

To make up for 121, here's a bonus second bridge today.  That and I'm off on holibobs tomorrow, so there will be a short interlude before we continue on our bridgely ways to Lancaster and Kendal.

Right, this is cheating a bit. I've driven past this new viaduct a few times on the A66 motorway between Cáceres and Plasencia in Extremadura. Until now, only with an ever-shrinking gap in the middle. You get a couple of brief glimpses of the new AVE (high speed train) viaduct over the river Tagus but it's all to brief and too far away to get a good shot, certainly not while driving!  However, yesterday this picture appeared in the local paper, Hoy (i.e. Today) so picture credit to them. I get nil points for the pic, snapped with my phone, with the paper on my knee. Anyway, I thought the 'viaduct in waiting' was elegant and interesting enough to merit sharing with CrinklyLion and all bridge fans.

They laughed when I said I was going to be a stand-up comedian. They're not laughing now.

Nice find Jurek! Beats the phone snap into a cocked hat...  Video from late last year. The 342m concrete arch is now complete, but still needs the deck for the rail lines atop.

I though this one was a half-collapsed Sheds at first but it isn't, as you can't drive a pickup over a half-collapsed Sheds without turning it into a fully-collapsed Sheds.
