I liked today's Guardian cycling column until....

As an MTBer I thought the article was pretty good, but why, just because something is a mode of transport, can it not be 'fun'.

It's precisely why I ride to and from work in the main - because it's a damn sight more relaxing than taking the bus or the car and lets me wind down, or burn off some energy.

To paraphrase the current Coke Zero adverts, I'll have both. 
It takes blood and guts to be this cool but I'm still just a cliché.
