Where to sell medium format gear
« on: 02 September, 2011, 01:03:27 pm »
Sorry to ask this here. Mods, if you want to move it please do.

At work I have a fair few medium format (120 roll film) camera backs. All have been carefully serviced and are stored (mostly) in their boxes.
We'd like to sell them on, but I was wondering where would be a good place to dispose of them.

I'm not keen on e-bay.

fleaBay will get the biggest audience.  Otherwise try somewhere like rangefinderforum.com (yes, they have MF enthusiasts who don't use rangefinders).

Price depends what make the stuff is; I sold my Bronica stuff for a comparative song in 2002, but it's *really* worthless now.  In that case it's because Tamron stopped making and supporting it, not just because it's film; Mamiya and Hasselblad stuff has held up better.  I would never buy a second-string brand again.
Hard work sometimes pays off in the end, but laziness ALWAYS pays off NOW.

Thanks guys, it's all Mamiya and Rollei, so no second string stuff at all.
