Windows 7 bugging me

I've suddenly got 'fade in, fade out' for windows.  It's bugging me and I cannot figure out how to get rid of it.   I want it to snap into place or snap closed like it used to.

HELP please  :(

Right click on your desktop. Select personalize. Choose a theme - probably one of the non-aero themes is what you want...
