We'll be staying near Pitlochry (in Moulin actually) during that weekend, so if anyone fancies a pootle in the area....?

I recommend the pootle out to Rannoch Station, nice station cafe stop, then the return pootle.

Scenery can be awesome, especially on a clear day.

Oh, and sorry, can't make it.  :'(

Just a quick bump being as it's only a week away and some more Scottishers seem to have made their way in this direction....

Sounds like an interesting idea.. I need to get some miles in so may see if I can get an early start and ride out.

Might end up getting the train back though unless I can persuade the wife and kids they want to go and see the fish ladder.

Can't do Sundays.. I was thinking of seeing about an S24O - ride out late at night from Dundee. Grab a bit of sleep just outside Pitlochry (about 45 miles ride from Dundee), then ride back on Saturday morning after a convivial breakfast. Nothing definite yet as I am thinking on the hoof.

We're not planning on doing the Glen Isla - done part of that route so many times from my brothers house I'm a bit bored of it now.

40 miles (just about) from Dundee via Blairgowrie. About 3ish hours riding with sleeping bag, bivvy bag etc. Depends on what my wife says.

Sorry I've just realised I was talking out of my arse. It's Glen Esk I'm bored of. Totally forgot about the Glen Isla ride, bit late now I suppose, plus a bit of a waste of time driving all the way down to Pitlochry only to come halfway back to Forfar!
