Did anyone see this?

I managed to get myself quite worked up reading
Quote
Roger Lawson, London co-ordinator for the Association of British Drivers, said: "There are a lot more aggressive cyclists than drivers."
  Gotta reference for that?!
It was a day like any other in Ireland, only it wasn't raining

And even if what Roger Lawson spouts on about was true, cyclists are operating human leg powered vehicles with no outer metal skin, rather than fast moving heavy vehicles.

This isn't really about cycling is it?

It is about someone pointing out the errors of drivers, the form of transport used to take those pictures doesn't come into it.  But then you get the usual crazy anti cyclist comments.

I did like the comment from "Parody of a Bad Driver".

Given that most of the time in London most of them are stationary, then it stands to reason that to maintain that average speed that for the little time they are moving they are actually faster than the speed of light.

But 40mph+ along certain stretches of road.

Not even going to bother clicking the link.

The agressiveness thing is probably down to cyclists not being in a sealed (ish) box so can vent. I do shout at drivers as I find thats what I've got and haven't got a horn to make a noise that the motorist would hear.

What about taxis and busses?

It's what you'd expect from the ABD.  I'm always amazed that its comments are given equal weight to those of organisations such as the AA which, for all its fault, actually does serious research.  They're in there with other dial-a-quote organisations like Migration Watch and the Taxpayers Alliance who get far more airtime than they warrant simply because they give good copy.

I'm not sure how helpful this self-styled enforcer is, though.  I prefer Wendy's videos   :)
Why should anybody steal a watch when they can steal a bicycle?
