The dutch have pretty high rates of accidents off of their cycle paths and a high concentration of accidents at the junctions between cycle paths and roads,
Got any link or pointers to data on this?
I haven't but only on hearsay. One of the co-founders of Go By Bike (brilliant company btw) is half-Dutch and he said that Dutch cyclists were far more dangerous on roads
http://ec.europa.eu/transport/road_safety/specialist/knowledge/pedestrians/index.htm This looks like it might provide an answer but I am no statistician. Click on the Basic Facts Sheet Bicycles link to launch a pdf that shows comparative figures for cycling fatalities across European countries.
