Kai and Zev actually sleeping within a few feet of each other, and Zev is awake(ish) and not attacking Kai's tail!
Actually, it is rocket science.

Well kittens do that. ;D

She's probably about 6 in human equivalence terms, so still a little furry terror, but making Kai's life hell more than mine!
Actually, it is rocket science.

Miss Ham is working on trying to get us to get a CTA.

And has therefore taken to sending me gratuitous cat pics during the day. This may have been seen before, I don't know as I don't tend to frequent these hallowed halls, my apologies if it has.

An attempt to get a couple of decent head shots of both Kai and Zev, but neither was quite looking at the right place when I took the shots, and the flash in Zev's case is a bit naff, I need to use something slightly more diffuse, but often you just have to grab the camera, and use the built in flash. :-\

Kai under the stairs, lying on a box of books.

Zev hiding in a favourite location, under a folding ladder, where she thinks she safe from both me and Kai (and she's wrong on both counts!)  The shot does show the white blob on her chest well though.

Actually, it is rocket science.

Every morning at the moment I wake up to find George, our two year old Burmese, tucked under the duvet by my feet with his head sticking out. He is much more considerate than his predecessor Milo (see pic left) who, along with Bertie, would conspire to shove me over to nearly-falling-out-of-bed every night. Bertie has taken instead to merely sitting on my neck when the alarm goes off or if I make the slightest stirring before that. When it gets cold at night, he'll be under the duvet too.

Well, we've become a two-cat household.  Cass was very keen on there being another furry friend wandering around to keep us and Lady Chilli Pepper company.  So, Sir Scoville has arrived from a lady who is due to give birth this coming Tuesday and was becoming increasingly concerned about their ability to pay the cat any attention etc.  He's 10 months old and he's quite a big lump (especially compared to the very petite Chilli).  He's in the front living room currently (with Chilli wondering why she is suddenly not allowed in there!) - he seems pretty shell-shocked by the move (he's literally never been outside, so a train ride from Hackney to Chiswick was quite traumatic).  He's wandered out from under the sofa during the night and eaten and used the litter tray - so hopefully he will settle over the next few days and then we can think about introducing the two cats and hoping that all goes well!

Yay, n+1 applied to cats. ;D

He's sitting there looking very regal, albeit maybe a bit concerned.

Ha - a friend commented last night that we'll end up with more cats than bikes soon - I assured him that this will not be the case.  Two is a good number of cats, two bikes is far too few for two people.

He's a very handsome fellow, and I am sure he will venture out more and more over the next few days.  He was very approachable and friendly in his original house, so it's just a question of settling a bit now.  He has lived in the same block of flats for his entire 10 months, never been outside or anything, so a trip in a cat-carrier across London must have been very scary, though he was as good as gold on the train.

He'll settle soon enough I am sure.  He'll be off to the vets on Thursday for a bit more upheaval (jabs, chipping and the chop) - we'll then take it as it comes as to introductions with Chilli.  The vet doesn't see any problems once he's been fixed (Chilli is spayed), suggesting to give him another few days after the chop before they are properly introduced.  Chilli seems utterly unbothered by his smell (we inherited his litter tray, which we left in the kitchen whilst we sorted things in the front room, along with a blanket - she had a good smell around it all and, whilst fascinated, did not exhibit any signs of distress or aggression.)  She gets annoyed when we both disappear into the front room and she can't come with us - but she tends to be like that anyway currently.

Hopefully in a couple of weeks, I'll be able to put up a photo of the two of them at least tolerating each other, if not being BFF!

Right! What's next?
