You are very welcome to borrow them. I could stick them in the post on guaranteed next day delivery, they should be with you in about a week  :D

A Burmese is basically a needier, louder Siamese.  And the Burmese live *forever* domestically, compared to some other mogs (late 20s not unknown).  I only know this as a friend took in a Burmese aged about 16 thinking it was a short gig. Cat Longevity Fail.

Yeah, but by then they'll be both hungry and furious, so guaranteed to win the noisy cat competition.

While I grew up with and have known various Siamese cats (who were all fairly loud, though had vastly different levels of assertiveness), I've only really met one Burmese, who wasn't especially vocal.  He was however utterly enormous and had the most spectacular resonant purr.  It was like having a big warm cuddly motorbike on your lap, or something.

Cue lots of going back to see if the warm had returned, and siameseishly informing us that it hadn't...

I am liking the adjective siameseishly! In this house it implies making a loud volume "Raaaaaaaaaaah" noise as close to people's faces as they can get, over and over until they get whatever it was they were wanting  ;D

Still quieter than a Burmese.

Yup.

Alfie is just about the loudest thing about. I'll try and record him.  ;D

Talisker doesn't have any Burmese in him, as far as I know, he's just a bog standard totally black domestic short hair, but he does purr for England, and is one of the loudest purrers I've ever known.

He also seems to be very chatty for a dsh, he'll chirrup, meow, and very occasionally yowl greetings, warning, and demands.  You can have a conversation with him, so long as you don't expect to understand anything he says and are willing to reply "Meow" to all. ;D
Actually, it is rocket science.

Let me IN

New catflap in place, compete with "floating" landing pads either side.  Tam rushes through it like a loon, but Daisy doesn't like it :)

My word Feline! What a pair of spoiled (but very contented looking) beasts you have!

*Makes mental note never to buy electrically heated pad for our pair of lazy sods*
I can already tell where the radiator pipes come closest to the floor by where Mojo lies these days.

For some reason Talisker has taken to sleeping on the open steps of my staircase for the last few days.  I would have thought it was one of the more draughty places in the house.

Cats, go figure. ???

Likewise Talisker, as far as I can tell, since there are no moggy shaped footprints from the cat flap (although there are fox shaped ones trotting up the side of the garden).

We only got the cat flap working this week, so the kittens have been using a litter tray until now.  Despite frozen ground, they are transitioning to outside doings and the litter tray is being far less used

I hate having a litter tray in the house.

yeah i hate it too, my guys are inherantly lazy and if I supply a litter tray they both use it for all of their needs. They have 2 flaps one in the front door and one in the back so they don't have to walk round to get in, but they don't like getting wet or cold feet!

They prefer to spend the cold weather in their electric heated bed

What lovely cats my best cat ever was a siamese seal point ,I still miss her and our conversations.
