I 've accquired this Mike Burrows model to try and improve my racing
(yeah right)

It's called the Molerat and I've found that it has the turning circle
worse than the rotation of the earth

With a seat height of 25cm it'll be fun in the rain and puddles

The neck rest is only a stop gap at the mo but it seems to work well

All you need to do is change the 20" front for a supermarket trolley caster!  :P

Is it basically a Ratracer minus the tail box or have I missed sommit.

Still very nice, and interesting to see how much of the stuff is used across the various models.

No just interested new owner who has been ona bit of a data hoover. I also tend to look at things very hard indeed.

Trying to work out how easy a tail box (in ply) would be for my SL.

So how does it ride?

doh, just realised, a mole-rat is basically a hairless (ie naked) rat so a rat minus the fairing would logically be called a mole-rat.

There is another one of these, or very similar, in black that was offered to me today.

I thought it a bit extreme for audax, so passed.

I was also a bit sceptical of the ability to turn any tighter than a supertanker

Front wheel movement doesn't look much different from Cosimo the Stealth Baron, who has made it round tight enough corners in his day, such as the bottom hairpin at Curborough.  He doesn't get used on the road for a variety of other reasons, such as only 18 high gears, zero luggage capacity, eyes and hands and knees and feet being all perfectly aligned to prevent a view of the road in the same postal district as the rider ect. ect.
