With the Western Contingent organised, any preferences for the Eastern Section?
Is "The Islander" joining us?

There was talk of Hurdlemakers?
Swan at Totham is always good.
Kings Head in Tollesbury was great last time, as we did say we'd go back when more people are available?
The Sun at Feering always disappoints  beer wise, and I don't fancy sitting outside this week...
We haven't been to Goldhanger for a while....
Cats.......

Or a Chelmsford for Train Assist returns - The Moulsham Tap has been recommended, but we'd need to check we can put the bikes at the back (no onstreet parking)

Appreciate the effort to generate enthusiasm east of Chelmsford, GS. I think I need another week off the bike so will use the time to get up to date with AUK admin stuffs this evening, see you all Saturday morning!

I am not out tonight, I need to give my ankle a bit of a rest.
The Moulsham Tap was OK when it first opened (10 or so draft taps at the back) and had a great changing selection of beers, but it went downhill after a few years in terms of same beers all the time and the price.  There's not a lot of room to the rear, bike parking/locking is mostly lamp posts outside.  I'd not use it for a Wed night.
Hop Beer shop over the road is a better bar but similar parking problems, but for a small collection of bikes it's not to bad, but early closing gets in the way..

Joergen

Any thoughts about Wednesday? Anyone tried Radio City (Viaduct Road - under the arches) in Chelmsford? There are Sheffield stands opposite-ish, by the Fairfield Road car park.

We’ll be at the Spiritual Home for J’s birthday.  He now has to be at school Saturday night but there will still be two of us.

Craft beer pub, the whip won't stretch too far, but there will be beers you've not had before.

So ... worth a go for novelty's sake or an alternative Chelmo venue? Back to the one over the Miami RBT: Sir Evelyn Wood?

I've not been in Evlyn for a while - keep meaning to but I've cut down on the booze a fait bit so my pub visits arn't as prolific as previous :)

I know for certain 'dev will be open. Slightly more hassle with the rear access but more secure for sure.  I can drop Naomi a message to confirm access if that's a venue of choice?

Looks like the rain should be gone by 17:00 so a dry evening...

Would be useful to let her know numbers if it's a go-er

I'm really not sure I will be out this week (again), still feeling up & down getting over this now very boring virus.
Might even have to get the lockdown turbo trainer back in to service to turn the legs over again...

I've booked us in to the 'dev at the moment. Can do Evelyn another time but Trish isn't on FB so someone needs to go in to give her a heads up :)

Maybe, depends on required exertion and possible nursing duties.
