Audax Flickr Group

Hi Everyone

After posting a link to some Flickr photos of the Pitlochry 150K it occurred to me to look for a Flickr group to see if could add the photos there.

There doesn't seem to be one, I tried searching for Audax, AUK and Audax UK. I did find the US Randonneurs though, here http://flickr.com/groups/classicbicycles/

Is it worth starting a group to keep event photos together? What do people think?

Actually I think the proposal (or similar) is a good idea because the AUK photo pages are not proprietary photo gallery software and Flickr etc do the job much better - I'd be glad to add a link if such a group does get formed and gets a bit of support.

I've started a group on flickr

It's currently open, and I need to sort out policies, but it's early in the morning, I can do that when I get home.

Any suggestions on rules?

Who should I contact in Audax UK to let them know it exists?

Thanks for that, I'd no idea the facility existed. It doesn't seem to be updated very often though.

I've gone ahead and emailed AUK to see if they're happy with us sharing via flickr group, and more importantly, using Audax UK as the name. Hopefully no objections or I'll have to change things pronto. I'll keep the group running regardless, as I'll continue to post to it. Hopefully others will join.

Edit: just checked and there's 6 members and one new photo.

I've joined the group, I think there is a place for such a group, I can visit the group and look at pics whilst on flickr rather than having to go onto the audax web site

Good idea Dave - I've just joined the group. Looked at my dismal collection of cycling photos and I've realised that I'll actually have to start taking a camera with me on audaxes. Deeside will be the first photo (taking) opportunity.
