I think the entry will be 'Pif! Paf! Pof!' with Alan Cumming and Forbes Masson...

It's Eurovision.  It's a joke.  Who cares?

I only started this thread to demonstrate to the doubters how cool, hip and culturally aware I was. Has it worked?
I think most of us know exactly how cool, hip and culturally aware you are.

I love Eurovision.

You are a gay man  :D

I am a gay man...

I can't stand Eurovision.  Car crash telly of the worst order (although the earlier years were a little better).

Real queens have more taste than to watch such a minging show.

I quite often go and watch it on the big screen at the Cameo. It's brilliant fun.

Sounds good - I'll have to watch out for that

Pif Paf Pof

The extraordinary thing is that the idea of air stewards and hostesses singing in Eurovision was floated in 1995 by the cast of 'The High Life' only to be taken up by Scooch in 2007, a case of life imitating satire with a gap of 12 years.

We were out of luck in '07 anyway, Lordi were a breath of fresh air that year, and as a consequence runaway winners.

A stroke of genius: to wear a disguise like that.
If they flopped at EuroVision, nobody knows who they were.
If they go on to have careers as serious musicians, nobody knows who they were.

All the other countries hate us so we should just stick two fingers up at them and have the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards playing a selection of themes from War films, culminating with "The Damnbusters March" whilst a crack squadron of Marines fire blank rounds at the other entries.

"Nil Pwah" for sure but cracking TV.

Wouldn't work, we enter Eurovision as the United Kingdom.

That must have been for an USAnian audience. There's another verse I've heard which goes

"And all the world over each nation's the same
They've simply no notion of playing the game.
They argue with umpires, they cheer when they've won
And practice beforehand, which spoils the fun!"
