My SWB 'bent (Lightning Thunderbolt) needs a new front tyre: 20 inch / 406
I've got a Conti Sport Contact on the back - 42-559, and have been using the Sport Contact 28-406 on the front, but it is a bit twitchy at low speed (especially when climbing here in North Wales) and needs to be replaced anyway, so I though I might go a little wider.
What do people recommend - 40-406 Marathon Racer, or 50-406 Big Apple?
Will there be a speed penalty to pay, if I go wider?
