Got my dodgy knee X-rayed and echoed today, and since they got both my knees onto the same sheet of film the radiologist pronounced on the good one too. Nothing untoward, just a wee bit of plaque in the popliteal arteries, which doesn't play any part in what I was feeling. He reckons that the kneecap was floating a bit and touching the femur during my wood-schlepping exercises, and the rest was due to the consequent inflammation. Nice thing was that he's a cyclist, so we were nattering about that as much as the load on my bendy bits.
Quite a relief: last thing I need is a buggered meniscus or arthritis. Bought myself an imposing entrecôte to celebrate - not quite within the constraints of my diabetic diet but my last analysis was good and Jack gets fed up being a dull boy.
