For those that have not had the pleasure.....
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BEPwX_VWuG4

Yep that looks like the Hustler in his true colours, I think he tones it down on Wednesday nights......  ;)

The Midshipman is driving the team car off to the start of his 600 so he will either be parked up in Hurrells Lane at the moment or on the road with Sideshow Bobb.

I really hope it's not the former as I believe (without any formal confirmation of course) that all activities regarding white van's and TV's must be undertaken by the cover of darkness.....  :o  however if you fancy having a swim in the ford with the Genesis feel free to fill your boots anytime I think it's pretty deep though so you might want to remember your arm bands or rubber ring....  ;D

Is that some sort of code that you guys use ?

I'll stick to cycling and swimming thanks.

I couldn't possibly comment I'm afraid probably best to check with Huggy as he has the white van and 'The Sticker' on the window.....

Are you referring to planned or unexpected swimming?  :-\

I'm just drawn to water in the same way that Tippers is drawn to cider for instance.

Thanks for informing us all, I forgot to ask does the Hustler charge a consultancy fee for advising you on your two strava aliases? I can only fathom that one must be for the Genesis duathlon rides and the other is for the Domane TT/chaingang sessions very very clever!  :)

As you move into advanced levels of consultancy fees he may even explain how you can send invites out from strava using the current Mrs T's log in details..... That way you can gain a lot of QOM trophies on your rides

Do I have two strava identities or is it just the Hustler ?

It's all very confusing.

I dread to think how many identities the Hustler has on strava for all we know he could be the Alex Dowsett on there.....!  :o and yes it appears you have at least 2 that I know of, one from Barnsley and another as GD that appeared on Wednesday night which prompted me to think the Hustler was making you aware of codes you could use for the Domane hence the gD!!

Now sorted.

I am definitely not from Barnsley and only have one account as of a couple of minutes ago.

Younger brother shred was most impressed to see my first strava ride after 2 years of registration.

Ah yes the Barnsley profile appears to have disappeared now...... best keep that quiet with the Hustler as i'm sure he won't approve!

It's a new bromance I'm trying to start :-\ but I think ted will stay loyal to his first MEMWNS love Huggy aka midshipman as of course he has the 'bus shelter' memories fresh in his mind........  :o

On a serious note I did mention this exact thing to Ted (my new best mate!) in a text this morning (sorry Huggy we're on texting terms too) and he said and I quote 'We mainly have desk bound jobs and are very efficient at them' I would hasten to agree or possibly say it's Friday and the office is quiet....  ;D

A couple of good tugs on the line there DL. It's  all about using the right bait if you  want  to  catch the Hustler.  Shame  I'm working at canary  wharf  this afternoon  and can't  fully engage.

It's pretty disappointing to hear you're not in the 'Ford' office this avo (did you see what I did there  :P ) and therefore unable to continue our forum chat  :'(

Exciting!

Don't forget we were talking abut a tippers man cave warming.  Perhaps after a Wednesday evening ride we could visit your cave instead of a pub.  I'm sure Mrs Tippers would be thrilled!!!

 least we not forget Ted has the Team Sky Jag support car so a firkin could easily be dropped off, alternatively Andy could hustle something up with his own mechanical support vehicle to deliver said refreshments!!

While we wait for the gala opening of Tippers' man cave, what about a venue for this week ?

Would it be ridiculous to go for the default option of the Totham Compasses on the assumption that Bobb and Huggy might be looking for a shorter ride ?  Tomsk has only cycled to York and back over the weekend so should be fresh enough to come East again ;)

Or a longer trip to the Anchor at Rowhedge:

I apologise profusely as the original route now works!  I see you will be riding from Spa Rd are you heading the peloton with the Hustler?

Good, now all I need to learn to do is that CLICKY thing that OD does.

I will either head for Spa or make a strategic intercept along the way.

Happy to head up the grupetto while the rest of you try to keep up with the Hustler.

Huggy is the clever one not me.  Have a look at post #7031 on the previous page, looks like you use a different url and just add the course number at the end.

Will you be intercepting us at Abberton then......  :o The Hustler will have been out with his mates Dowsett and Cavendish in the essex country lanes this weekend gearing up for MEMWNS this week
