Bobb will want to "do one" as soon as he is finished vaping though.

Is vaping allowed on your training rides

So shall I meet you in Blackmore or keep going though it?  ???

(Route out on the track was just a suggestion, its paved cycle path, probably less holes than you've encountered in the last week or so! :D )

I think Ted prefers somewhere that he might be able to take a dip, can you divert the route to incorporate any fords for him?

I can recommend this one crossing the River Can at the Ford on Tituswell Lane, just West of Good Easter...

There is a COR ford just on the eastern edge of Writtle. OD would love that as you have to ride across fields to get to and from it:

Those wonderful norks are never far from my thoughts, oh yeah!

The video webcasting world has gone in to meltdown (again) so that's my evening sorted, and it won't be on two wheels  >:(

A night of two pelotons.  Bobb, Jiberjaber and I formed a Chelmsford peloton routing via Blackmore and some splendidly fast country lanes.  DL, the Hustler and OD left witham together and looped down to meet us .  In between we had the usual solo mission by intrepid Tomsk.

Eventually we all ended up at the Chequers which was a quiet pub with a modest selection of ales.  As part of our ongoing education program, I ran a photography masterclass which I am sure taught everyone a lot about how to use their phones as cameras.  Anyone who has seen my strava feed will know what I mean

OD then left us as he had to catch his train.  We miss the old OD and his audacious ways.

The rest of us braved the cold and rode home, well, apart from me who rode to the car.

On our way to THE CHEQUERS a barn owl flew alongside us for a minute or so - magical. I also enjoyed DL's route including the golf course. I might go out that way again on Saturday morning.

Glad you liked the route OD always enjoy experiencing new lanes and I have to agree with the barn owl experience that was the longest I have ever had one actually fly along with me

I appreciate you kept the write up short and succinct Ted but you forgot to mention that you missed your chief engineer the BFC to dicuss the upgrade package on the Genesis  :o never mind theres always next week

I might understand it by then

You are failing to appreciate the value in building a team around you.  I have the Hustler as my wingman, Tomsk and Tippers for wise counsel (ie bullying me into silly rides), BFC as chief engineer, Huggy on tech and navigation, Bobb on timekeeping, Jiber on social media, OD runs the Team Ted skunk works and you are the idiot savant.  Probably only Team Sky has more backroom talent these days.

As an MP I would expect nothing less..... where does Sister Carol fit into the pit crew & Oaky  ??? You may need to sharpen up your wingman as it took the chief engineer to make you aware that you were riding with a defective brake block whilst on the road

In the real world Ted we call this 'the man cave'!! It also appears that you forgot to mention your brand ambassador SSN aka Gavin real name Giles who proudly promotes your team on Strava  ;D

It quite obviously wasn't a full list.

Oaky is our hydration guru, Sister Carol is on logistics (mainly due to his packing ability, that is his ability to pack huge amounts into tiny saddlebags rather than his ability to give up rides when it turns out he hasn't actually packed anything useful) and is the registered first responder, GavinSSN is the brand ambassador etc
