Ok, if no-one is up for Toppesfield, I'm going to suggest the Walnut Tree at Broads Green? Maybe meet at The Compasses at 7.30 and go on a little COR Tour from there?

Perfect! All we need are 4 more peeps!

I could make the COR Tour to Broads Green. Is that Team A or Team B?

I would either like a splinter venue this side of the map or a more central venue if we are short of numbers this week (particularly with a strong NE forecast).

I am proffering the Sun at Feering or the Chequers at Great Tey.

If it is a proper Eastern venue; the Olde Albion at Rowhedge.

If there are 6 Westerners and 1 Easterner, it will be the ACME C Peloton rides again  :-[

I'd me happy with Feering or Great Tey either this week or some time in the future...

Re: Splinter Groups of Six - it'll be a bit like musical chairs, but with the numbers going the other way - we can see how many different ACME faces you can collect over, say, a month of pub rides.

We need an I-Spy book!

I think JEM was already looking to create one of those.

Compasses is ok by me, or any venue out west-ish. The Cock at Hatfield Broad Oak? How's the Essex Borders (Herts) fraternity fixed this week?

Oh no, and the cat herding starts ...

Rough-and-ready solution: later arrivals = riders #7, 8, 9 etc bugger off and find another pub. It'll be an adventure; adventures are good aren't they?

Bit crap if you're rider #7 and there aren't any after you... It may improve our average speeds getting to the pub though!

Ok Team Walnut it is for me - I may not be in time for a Compasses start, so don't wait for me. I need a final shake-down fixed ride before the madness starts on Saturday, so not very COR-appropriate (as I'm not Oaky). But I might fit a fixie ride in elsewhere ...

Proposed "COR, would you look at that" route to the Walnut Tree taking in the delights of Dunmow Lane and Jiber's swimming pool.

We could wait for stragglers to appear at The Compasses and then set off together?

I could meet up Acme C as it is closer venue.

The Alma at Copford or The Chequers at Gt Tey would do, maybe?
