OK, suspect I might be closer to 20:30 ( subject to knee... )

“Mr jibers, Dr OD will see you now!”
I got 2km and had to turn back.. unless I car assist I'll be home tonight FFS

ETA: I've just remembered I walked in to the SPD pedal on the bike this morning when I went in to the kitchen first thing and hit myself just under the kneecap which I thought painful at the time... at least I know what caused it. Light duties for a few days I think.
Regards,

Joergen

A brilliant night ride!

I got to Witham station just after 9 and it took my slightly longer than I expected to reach the Little Totham Swan, but the e-bike's built-in satnav found me the best route. It was a joy riding along deserted lanes with the weather so balmy warm. There was beer, and OD was on form, making outrageous plans for us all.

From the Swan to home was just under 30 miles, and it took my just under 3 hours. There were hardly any cars and it was so clement that it crossed my mind that I should have had my own private World Naked Bike Ride.

Thanks for the beer and company, chaps! I might well do something similar later in the summer - especially if the weather remains warm.

I don't mind Whitham, but I'll probably cheat and drive there.

So is the consensus The Queen's Head, Maldon?  It's an obvious choice as we have a noble tradition of building plans around someone who isn't actually going to to turn up  ;D
