It was a little chilly. The roads were well gritted which was just as well. as my winter bike had suffered a visitation so I was on summer tyres.

Next Wednesday marks the 8th anniversary of Fandango's finest moment - his debut arrival at the Oddie - and also my rather more low key first MEMWNS.

Can we go somewhere within reach of my offshore lair pleae.

I'vw got a management meeting the following day which rules out such exotic places as Colchester however I could be up for the Lion or similar as a Western venue?

All of which are perfectly reasonable solutions to the acronym referenced for the target contingent, however, there is a fourth meaning which was in fact intended:
Centre of Gravity (COG) of MEMWNS members
That used to be very conveniently close to the NW corner of Shitham but may have drifted slightly westwards in recent times. The Keeper of the COG may be along with an updated pin to indicate the current location.
