Title: Wolverhampton - Llandudno
Post by: neutral_service on 13 June, 2019, 08:06:41 am
Morning all,

I am cycling up to visit my sister in llandudno early in July. I have previously cycled from Chester to llandudno via the NCR 5

This time I was thinking of trying to take a route through Wrexham and on to Conwy ?

Any advice or route alternatives most welcome

Many thanks in advance  ;)

A also live in Wolverhampton (Bilston) and have done a similar route to Rhyl a few years ago.  Just a couple of suggestions really.  Do you really want to go thru' the centre of Wrexham as its easily avoided.  Also, it gets very hilly for a time after Wrexham until Llanrwst.  My choice would be to head North on the B5429 and then pick up the seafront cycleroute from Rhyl which is tarmacced and very good quality.

Many thanks for taking the time to reply both  much appreciated.

I am going to try and avoid the major routes and stick to the B roads

I guess if I head out to Overton - Ruabon I can make my way to the B5429 from there.

I'm liking the cycle.travel site
