Today is my son’s planned wedding day

But for reason beyond their control, its now not happening until next August.

Rightly or wrongly they are staying with us for a few days, and it seems that they’ve come to terms with it.

Commiserations on the postponed festivities. We were lucky, Pcolbeck junior got his wedding in on the last weekend you could have one.
I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that.

Miss von Brandenburg's is still scheduled for late August but since her parents will have to travel from Germany and her intended's mother from Finland it may yet be postponed.  The accompanying party/gig has already been rescheduled for TBA.

My nephew has just got engaged, Indian to Italian, I can't see either side wanting a small do, so no idea when it will happen.

I’ve already made my contribution although I’m sure Dr B will contrive to me making further donations! With the boy being successful at interview earlier in the week the have been talking of using the savings for a deposit so who knows. That is of course if he decides to take the job.
