Was supposed to be meeting friends for a drink but she didn't like the first half of the set (Rhapsody In Blue) so we'd end up arguing. She's gone for a meal with hubby. I bumped into some old neighbours who I didn't recognise (seen him once in the last 15 years!)
Am no debating a solo pub crawl....

Happily relaxing after taking my hubby out for his first proper ride on his new bike. He's ridden twice in the past 30 years. Today was a gentle skills day with a coach friend and a nice pootle around Rushmere. (MTB).

I am so proud of my hubby.

Trying not to feel like crap. Tea and paracetamol. Self-diagnosis is gastritis from months of naproxen and forgetting the omeprazole for the last couple of days.

But boy, do I feel ill.

Waiting for a 700kg delivery of firewood, which will now arrive in the dark (just phoned them and it is still coming). Then it has to be carried (thank $DEITY it's in 10kg nets, so 35 trips) from the road to the back garden, stacked and covered, because it's bound to rain if I leave it tomorrow and anyway, it will partly block the road. And I'v e been in all day.

Sitting in the garden. With a whisky and the sky.
The whisky is OK, but the sky is stunning. Orion is now noticeably buggering off to the west. Orion is one of my favourite constellations, but it buggering off to the west is a sure sign of spring. Jupiter is high overhead. Shining like a searchlight. I'm pretty sure if you could find a proper dark skys site, Jupiter could cast a shadow on a moonless night like tonight.
