The clamp then does up from the front (like a classy bra  ;D )
Can it be undone with one hand without anything popping out unexpectedly?  ::-)

Yes.

I have just violated your letter box.  The Eagle Kitty has landed  ;D

At spinning this morning a lady spinner overheard Huggy and I chatting during warm up and asked whether we were members of a cycling club.  We briefly told her about our Wednesday evening jaunts and I have just emailed her some more details.  She seemed very nice and had done quite a bit of riding when she lived on Gran Canaria.  Heaven only knows what a normal person makes of this nonsense  ;D

I didn't mention anything about anything on YouTube   An excerpt of my email ...

... Grant and I are members of www.yacf.co.uk (Yet Another Cycling Forum) and there are a good number of members in this area.  Most Wednesday evenings between 5 and 10 of us meet up for a ride.  The Witham peloton leaves from the Spa Road roundabout at about 7:30.  We ride for 25 to 30 miles at a relaxed pace, then stop at a pre-arranged pub for a pint or two, then ride home.  We pick up other members along the way or they meet us at the pub.  All this is arranged on this thread: https://yacf.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=22529.6375   It is a bit “blokey” although we do get the occasional lady join us.  There is quite a lot of banter on-line but that said we’re a nice bunch of chaps and you’d be made very welcome.  We are all family guys with respectable jobs who despite our largely unearned reputation as drinkers with a cycling problem are serious riders.  We normally get back around midnight so you’ll need a good front light as we ride narrow lanes with suspect surfaces.  We all ride road bikes.  If you’re interested let me know and we will flex a route through Braintree so you get a nice chilled introduction.

Unless Tippers 'strong as an ox' Kiwi or our very own mountain goat Oros are leading the peloton whereby it could swing to a moderate pace  ;D

BRT seems to be unreliable, the other day Bikely wouldn't play nicely so I have just set myself up with a Ride with GPS account.  I only want to use it for sharing routes that you lovely people can upload to your various Garmin devices.  So, as an experiment, please can you tell me whether this sample route uploads nicely?

Much obliged  :-*

Folks, I have a pass for a day ride next Saturday (28th March).  I am planning to tick off some more previously unvisited Good Beer Guide pubs and Harwich has taken my fancy - not an obvious cycling destination I grant you.  Harwich's two entries, the Alma Inn and New Bell Inn, are within spitting distance of each other, appear to do food at lunchtime and have a good write up.

Here is my proposed route. I was thinking of leaving Witham at a sociable hour, perhaps 0830 hrs, stopping for coffee along the way.  Feel free to saddle up and join in.

Folks - the 'Mid Essex Massive' are now the proud owners of a 'Marsh Gibbon Tea Towel'!

I now need to chase those generous peeps who pledged a £25 contribution - I'll take cash, cheque or paypal [pm me for my email address if you need it]. Anything over our £200 bid can go towards the framing costs [likely to be around £50] and beyond that any excess will, of course go to Teethgrinder's fund.

...and OD re: 28th - we [me + Redlight, Wilkyboy and Teethgrinder] are riding the Green and Yellow Fields route for a 'Helpers' Ride', starting at midnight. We'll be back in Manningtree some time that afternoon. If you keep an eye on the OYTT tracker you might be able intercept Steve and give him a cheer.
