Looking good for Wednesday here is my planned route: https://connect.garmin.com/modern/course/9079551 I'm afraid with BRT not running I haven't had the time to plot the route in any other website for those without Edge devices, maybe Huggy could do the honours if he has time  ;D
Right, the Garmin Connect route file can be downloaded directly to your PC with the correct format of URL, such as:

TCX = http://connect.garmin.com/proxy/course-service-1.0/tcx/course/9229387
GPX = http://connect.garmin.com/proxy/course-service-1.0/gpx/course/9229387
FIT = http://connect.garmin.com/proxy/course-service-1.0/fit/course/9229387

once downloaded you can do as you wish with it, e.g. upload it to your editor of choice and push to your own flavour of Garmin device.

EDIT: For my own use of DL's diligent work I have imported the downloaded TCX file to BaseCamp and created a route then uploaded both track and route to my eTrex.  Now locked & loaded for Wednesday evening  :thumbsup:

I clicked on Huggy's gpx link but had to rename the downloaded file with .gpx on the end before BaseCamp would find it.  I have now uploaded both a route and track into my eTrex.  Why Garmin have to make life so complex is beyond me.  Tossers.

Look I know you've just come back from Welsh Wales but if tippers rocks up please can the pair of you not spend the entire evening talking about pretty sheep - it's not healthy.

Thanks

Mrs T and I will be doing the 'Late Rooms Thing' tomorrow, so I won't be out to the pub, at least not on a bike.

Have a good'un and see most of you on Friday for the G&Y curry and jolly little bike ride to shake it all down.  :thumbsup:

What's the "Late Rooms Thing"?  Is it like "book club"?  :o

It is, absolutely...

What's more, I've found a Wetherspoons that also does B&B - Mrs Tomsk is remarkably impressed by this...

I may sneak off early from the pub this evening as I've a busy day tomorrow and the G&YFs on Friday night.

7:30 at the Spa Rd roundabout or my back gate, whichever suits.

OK, cool. If I'm a bit early, I'll loiter at your back gate. If I'm not, I'll go straight to the roundabout....

As is now becoming the norm we enjoyed another good MEMWNS to the Dog & Pheasant at East Mersea where I believe the landlady and locals couldn't quite believe some had cycled from Witham and Chelmsford!!!

The pace was fairly moderate again as those winter miles show through, in attendence were myself, Andy C33, OD, Tippers, Trainmanbri (who I should point out did very well keeping up the pace considering this was his biggest ride of 2015!) Bobb and Ted, a nice pint of Brewers Gold went down well closely followed by a pint of Woodford Wherry and everyone finally got to see the 'Kitty' purse in all it's glory........

My task as treasurer was also made a little more interesting with OD informing me I should try and build up a slush fund to aid a curry evening. :o  Not a problem  :thumbsup:

Yes, another good one. I liked going to Mersea !

Next time the yacht club.  If you thought we got a few funny looks last night wait 'til the older members there see us...  Let's hope Carlosfandango and his trick cycling can make that one.

You can leave the actual organisation of the curry to AndyC33 who appointed himself as head of catering last night by offering to fetch the crisps and nuts.

Yes I think Carlos will definitely need to be in attendance for the yacht club

 :thumbsup: great news it's always good to incorporate new members into the smooth running of things! Once the kitty has a significant amount of 'slush' to it I shall make Andy aware and ask him to make suitable arrangements for a decent curry house

In the next few weeks I will be placing an order with Rose Bikes, let me know if you want anything.  The likelihood is my order will be worth more than £150 so the shipping costs to share will be just a fiver.

Shimano stuff from Rose is noticeably cheaper.  For example, Wiggle Platinum price for PD-M545 pedals £35, Rose £30.62.  XT M770 9-speed cassette £32.49 at Wiggle but just £30.58 at Rose.

Worth checking www.kurbelix.de which is where I buy a lot of my bike stuff now, particularly tyres. It can be super bargainous.

There's a Weatherspoons in Norwich that does B & B. Just the right distance from Witham for an out & back...

Forward planning alert and a date for your diary ...

On the afternoon and evening of Saturday 5th September we will be hosting a yacf MEMWNS BBQ at OD's Global HQ for riders, WAGs and smaller people. If you're reading this you're invited.

A bit nearer the time we'll work out numbers etc so for now all you need to do is put the date in your diary.

There will be beer and sausages  :thumbsup:
