The Rodney it is then - I can't just ride half-way up and stop...so I may take the direct way through Chelmo and Sandon and include as many different ascents of the Ridge as possible. Should make an OD-esque tangle of a route.

Rodney then ?

At least it's downhill home.

Er, where's the Rodney?

does that mean you are taking a rare break between modelling assignments to come out with us

There's no "shoot" in my diary for Wednesday so I'm in luck.

Also a good idea to make him aware he may need to take a few whilst Sister Carol strikes the correct pose with suitable back drop

I was considering the ascent via Colam Woods as its a bit quieter then coming down TMNH to start a couple of climbs, but might do the Sandon approach as well as that's quieter too...  plenty of time on trains before then to ponder routes and repeats .... :)

There's certainly at least 6 ways I can think of ascending to the top of TMNH, probably more if you use more of the lanes over toward Woodham Walter ... Sandon to Danbury or Bicknacre to Danbury then along The Ridge.  Colam Woods, Doggers Lane and lastly Graces Walk (haunted by the ghost of Lady Alice Mildmay after she drowned herself in Sandon Brook (1615) to escape the cruelty of her husband, Sir Henry Mildmay apparently). And of course, straight up TMNH itself...

Graces Walk might be a bit of a quagmire at the moment (its almost a beach at the best of times!)

Oh!  Is it Wednesday again?

Hoping to make it this week, but am in London and will need to see how the rest of the day goes before I'll know for sure.

I think I can find The Rodney ;)
You are in a maze of twisty flat droves, all alike.

For the sake of sharing a route of about the right sort of length in the absence of anyone else doing one we could follow this, nothing particularly exciting or new, just an excuse to ride the bike to the Rodney.
Or we could follow something else that someone else wants to ride  ::-)

I may even be able to make it to the roundabout for 7:30 this week!!

I'll probably head out via Breeds Rd and pick up your trail at Waltham, and then left to Damases Lane, I notice a disturbing lack of TMNH YACF course in the route Huggy  :demon: ??? :)

Andy C33 might need to take his canoe as that route goes along a stream in one part
