For anyone attending the Ned Boulting Bikeology evening of culture this Thursday, my plan is to catch the 18:16 train from Witham to the Chelmo Metroplis and proceed to the Ale House in the bus station. A couple of refreshing beverages will be in order after such an arduous journey.  Then drag myself and everyone else away kicking and screaming to the Civic Theatre at about 7:20-ish.  My intended route is almost certainly to be exactly like this :)  it may well be similar on the way back too.
I have tickets to hand out to Jen M, Carlos (x2), Bloomers (x2) and Steve G.  Everyone else remember to bring yours if you can find where you filed them.

There are rumours that we could also be joined by Doggers Lane.  Anyone remember him ?

I think that was just borrowed.  He is the test rider for the Wiggins children's range.

Oh by the way, last Wednesday I noticed the Hello Kitty kitty purse was looking decidedly tatty, the matter is in hand.  And no,  I'm not referring to ted's pubes

In July last year we rode this route.  ETA would be around 9:15, if the Witham Peloton fancies this proposal.
I also have a more direct route in the archive for a much earlier arrival

Alas, thanks to the project teams oversights it is turning out to be a fun week, I will likely be sitting at my pc...home or office remains to be seen.

Not much enthusiasm being shown for this evening's planned outing, is that because ted said that he's going to be at the pub??

I'm probably going to be there, but will ride fairly direct from home (I'm in That London today, and may not get away anything like promptly, after which I've apparently got to do the bins).

I amended the return route to avoid using the A12 cycle path.  It also has the advantage of a climb away from the pub to warm us up at about 11pm  ::-)

Curse of Real Life, I'm really not sure I'm going to feel like venturing out this evening. If I do I'll need an escort, anyone planning to ride from Witham at 7:30?

Maybe me too.... Shall we change location, I'm not in love with a 65k round trip into a headwind on the way home?

With the current north westerly you will be blown home

I am happy to move venue, if nothing else it will sod up OD's forward planning.  I was already facing a headwind home anyway.  East of the A12, not too far South for me, convenient for Huggy...Totham Compasses ?
